Privacy policy

Calgary Radon Pro collects personal information only when you send it to us: your name, email address, phone number, the service you are asking about and your message. It is delivered to our company email inbox and to our customer relationship management system (CRM), and it is used to answer your request and carry out any work you book. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. We handle it under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Requests to see or correct your information go to contact@calgaryradonpro.ca.

What information do you collect?

The tools on this site, the result checker, the unit converter and the cost calculator, run in your browser. Numbers you type into them are not sent to us unless you choose to submit the request form afterwards.

Where does the form data go?

To two places, both controlled by Calgary Radon Pro. Each request is sent as an email to our company inbox, and a copy is recorded in our CRM so that requests are not lost and can be followed up. The website itself does not keep a database of submissions.

How do you use it?

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to advertise other companies' services.

Who else handles it?

Service providers that operate the tools we rely on: the companies that provide our email delivery and inbox, our CRM, our website hosting and, once enabled, website analytics and advertising measurement from Google. They process information on our behalf to provide those services. Some of them store data outside Canada.

What happens to radon test results?

Your result belongs to you and is reported to you. With your permission, we may include it in statistics published on this site, grouped by area and with names, addresses and anything else that could identify a household removed. We do not publish a figure for an area unless it rests on enough homes that no single one can be picked out. You can decline, and declining does not affect the service you receive.

Do you use cookies?

When analytics is active, yes: cookies and similar technologies from Google are used to measure visits and to record that a request form was sent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site, including the form, works without them.

How long do you keep information?

For as long as it is needed for the purpose it was given: answering a request, completing work, and keeping the records a business is expected to keep about work it has done. Requests that do not lead to work are deleted on request.

How can I see, correct or delete my information?

Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) gives you the right to ask an organization for access to the personal information it holds about you and to ask for corrections. To make either request, or to ask us to delete your information, email contact@calgaryradonpro.ca and tell us what you would like. We will answer in writing. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Will this policy change?

It may, for example when a new tool or service provider is added. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. For anything this page does not answer, use the contact page. The conditions for using the website are in the terms of use.
